The Founder

Mike Campeau is the founder of Cimarron Ranch & Hunt Advisors, a consultancy based in Colorado. The company is dedicated to helping ranch landowners maximize their land's potential and develop diverse revenue streams. Born and raised enjoying the outdoor life, Mike's passion for nature transformed into a dedicated career within the ranching and recreational industry. His core values of integrity, honesty, and professionalism guide everything he does, with the needs of his clients always coming first.
With 15 years of hands-on experience, Mike formerly directed daily operations and ranch staff of the famed 270,000-acre Tejon Ranch, California's largest expanse of private land, overseeing everything from range management, infrastructure, buildings, fencing, game management, and recreational activities to managing cattle lessees. His leadership style is straightforward and dedicated, ensuring every decision enhances the overall functionality and profitability of the ranch.
Throughout his career, Mike excelled in efficiently managing operations, constantly seeking new opportunities to drive revenue, optimize efficiency, and build the ranch's reputation. Notably, he developed hunting operations and other ancillary outdoor activities that generated more than $3.5 million per year. He also developed resources including watering systems and pasture fencing that enhanced both wildlife and cattle operations. His balanced approach to land and wildlife aimed to create sustainable and profitable ventures, contributing to the overall success and longevity of the ranch.
